How do I read a Trend Graph?

Use this article to understand trend graphs and the different settings you can use to customize your graph.

Dimensions

A Trend Graph Page can show up to 2 dimensions (use, temperature, pressure, and other) in one graph. The first dimension is displayed on the left vertical axes. In the case of two dimensions, the other dimension is displayed on the right vertical axes.

Mouse over

If you hover over a point on the graph, a popup shows the details of that specific point. This will help you to get the details you are looking for.

Zoom level

You can adjust the zoom level by selecting the area you wish to look into (click and drag). If you wish to go back to the default zoom level, click on RESET ZOOM. You can do this from the state bar or from the graph itself.

Graph layout

When using different dimensions in one trend graph, you can adjust the layout to make it easier to read the graph. The shared layout is set to default but can be changed to stacked or separated by clicking on the little arrow at the top right of the graph.

Shared

All the points and machines will be merged into one graph.

Stacked

Each point will be shown independently but the machine state bar will be shown combined at the bottom of the graphs.

Separated

Each point and state bar is shown independently of each other.

Graph settings

Show raw data

This setting is available when the reporting period is bigger than 24h. When choosing this setting, the system will show all the raw data instead of showing an average. This is important when you are analyzing warnings and failures.

Show outliers

Not implemented yet.

Show step interpolation

Instead of joining the different points, the line will remain constant until reaching the next point, resulting in what is called step interpolation
