In order to comply with Chinese law and keep SMARTLINK available in China, we have migrated Chinese data to a local cloud provider. Simply put, we will have an identical version of SMARTLINK hosted on a Chinese server catering to our local customers.
This change has a few implications for SMARTLINK users based in China. First, if you want to access SMARTLINK in China, you have to use a slightly different link. Instead of smartlink.atlascopco.com, the correct URL is smartlink.atlascopco.com.cn.
Furthermore, at the time of writing, you might notice some features are missing. We are working on this. For example, some recommendations are not yet available. On the other hand, you will notice latency improvements. This means SMARTLINK China is now performing better (i.e., faster) than before.
